Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson (Ph.D., Florida State University) is a teacher, author, and scholar of Religions of Western Antiquity.

He is the Dean of St. Athanasius College, where he teaches courses on Scripture within the Eastern Orthodox tradition. He has also taught courses on the Hebrew Bible, New Testament, the Christian Tradition, and World Religions at Florida State University, and on Greek and Roman Mythology at Scholé Academy.

His research interests include Greco-Roman, Jewish, and Christian historiography; ancient biography; the New Testament; and the first-century Jewish historian Josephus.

His first monograph, Defeat and Deliverance: Prefigurements of the Jewish Revolt Against Rome in Josephus’ Depictions of Past Invasions of Jerusalem in the Jewish Antiquities (Brill), is anticipated in the Fall of 2025. Other publications have appeared in the Journal for the Study of Judaism, Journal for the Study of Greco-Roman Christianity and Judaism, The Asbury Journal, Religious Studies Review, and Ancient History Magazine.
